2017 Midwest Vizsla Futurity

The 2017 Midwest Vizsla Futurity was held on Friday March 31st. The Futurity was held at the Jim Edgar Panther Creek wildlife area near Springfield Illinois. This year 18 of the top Derby dogs competed for the coveted Double Danny Quest Trophy and prizes. Art Terstage was our Returning Judge and Ed Lierman was our new judge this year. To help make our event a success we are proud to have Purina and Sportdog as our sponsors. Without our sponsors it would be very difficult to have a class event. This year over $2000.00 in prizes were won including the prestigious Futurity trophy. This year the Breeder Plaque was given to the Breeder of the winner. This Plaque is only given when the litter is nominated by the breeder.

Thursday evening we had a well attended drawing. This year the drawing was at the Riverbank Lodge in Petersburg. As always the drawing was a double blind drawing. We had 2 bitches in season that were placed in the last brace. The weather this year was cool but consistent throughout.
